JOB DESCRIPTION

The position involves working as a woodworking teacher at our three central F-6 schools in Degerfors. You will be at Strömtorpsskolan three days, Bruksskolan one day, and Parkskolan one day. You will be part of a work team at Strömtorpsskolan.

You will both individually and together with colleagues plan and develop the operations to provide students with meaningful, well-structured, and varied teaching. The teaching will be systematically followed up both individually and together with colleagues based on the ongoing systematic quality work throughout the school year, which is an important part of our development work. Learning should be a central part of the work, and we use formative assessment as a natural tool.

The work requires good collaboration skills and experience working in teams. A good approach is also important, towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You should have structure and order in your working methods. We prefer that you are flexible, outgoing, and that you take the initiative to continue developing the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, we would like you to:

• Have a teaching license and full qualification as a woodworking teacher
• Have previous experience in the teaching profession
• Have good experience with ICT tools
• Have good experience in documentation
• Have experience working with students in need of special support

As Degerfors Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, knowledge of the Finnish language is also an advantage.
