We are looking for a leisure teacher
We are looking for someone who is relationship-building, flexible, and solution-focused, and who can plan the work so that students develop throughout their day. You value collaboration between the school's various professions and become part of an engaged team.
About the position
As a leisure teacher at Glanshammars School, you will plan and develop the educational activities in close collaboration with colleagues in both the leisure center and the school's working team. You will follow the students throughout the day and contribute to a safe, meaningful, and stimulating environment.
Once a week, you will participate in the SKA conference together with other SKA educators, where development issues and quality work are discussed. The position also includes planning time, work as a playground supervisor, resource time in the classroom, and other tasks that strengthen the leisure center's role in the school's entirety. Together with other staff, you will plan, implement, and develop leisure activities based on current governing documents, with the goal of creating a meaningful and stimulating leisure time for our students.
Examples of tasks:
- participate and see opportunities to develop the educational work in the leisure center's activities
- use methods and approaches that lead to increased goal fulfillment
- support students' social development and upbringing
- create a good learning environment
About the workplace
Glanshammars School is one of Örebro Municipality's rural schools with about 340 students ranging from preschool to grade 6. About 45 staff members work here. The school is located in idyllic surroundings in Glanshammar, close to forests and fields, about 15 km east of Örebro, and it takes about 25 minutes to get to the school by bus. There is also the option to cycle to the location on safe bike paths.

Qualifications
As a leisure teacher, you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate, contributing to a calm and safe school environment. You have knowledge of children's development and learning and the ability to adapt teaching based on the group's and individual students' needs and conditions. Furthermore, you are structured, take responsibility for your tasks, and work focused on set goals. You are innovative and come up with new ideas and approaches to work-related issues.
You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with children, guardians, and other staff both orally and in writing. You can document in writing what the activities require, using the programs available.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- teacher certification with authorization to teach in leisure centers, or an equivalent qualifying degree that entitles you to teacher certification
- experience as a development leader
Meritorious:
- experience working in school/leisure
- experience working in preschool
- knowledge of ICDP/IBIS
- experience in outdoor education
