About You

We are looking for someone who is qualified to teach in the after-school program.

Qualification requirements for teaching in after-school programs:

• Teacher's degree with a focus on working in after-school programs,
• An older degree for working in after-school programs
• Or another degree that qualifies you to teach according to the qualification regulations. You must have supplemented your education so that you have acquired knowledge and skills that meet the requirements for a primary teacher's degree with a focus on working in after-school programs.

You should have good pedagogical skills and a positive attitude towards our students. You are flexible, open, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. We place great value on your commitment, responsibility, and professional competence and expect you to actively work for collaboration between the school and the after-school program based on the curriculum goals.

Previous work with children/students in schools and after-school programs, as well as experience working with individuals in need of special support, is an advantage.

As we are an administrative municipality for Finnish and Meänkieli, it is an advantage if you speak either of these languages.

Job Responsibilities

You have a significant responsibility for the pedagogical planning of the after-school program's activities, teaching in the after-school program, and are also expected to work as a resource in the lower grades.
