JOB DESCRIPTION

Gemöskolan is currently seeking a new teacher for the after-school program.

At the school, we work closely together in teams and believe that all students can and want to succeed. We have a clear values-based approach and build our operations with the student at the center, creating a strong community and a safe school environment. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each student and for the entire student group.

As a teacher in the after-school program, your main task is to assist in the after-school activities. You will be part of a team where you and your colleagues are responsible for the operations. This means that you prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in a professional manner based on applicable governing documents. You work closely with your colleagues, but some teaching in your own group may occur. You have joint planning with your colleagues every week, in addition to your own planning. You also participate in the school's teaching and offer activities during breaks.

The after-school program at Gemöskolan is divided into three departments, with the goal that students and staff should feel joy, enthusiasm, and community every day.

Both the after-school program and the school actively work to strengthen language skills, and the school has a policy to ensure that the continuity from preschool to grade 6 is maintained. The school and after-school program have joint meetings a few times each term where we work on various themes and create a shared understanding between the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to students and is solution-oriented. Primarily, we are looking for someone with a teaching degree for after-school programs.

You need to have the desire to help students with different backgrounds find strategies in learning, be able to motivate, and be a driving force in the operations.

It is an extra plus if you have experience working with SKA work and have experience in language development.

Furthermore, we want you to have:

• solid experience and knowledge of pedagogical work and can apply it in practice
• the willingness and ability to participate in the development of the operations
• a professional and positive attitude towards students, parents, and colleagues
