We are now seeking a student for the role of lab assistant at Skånemejerier. You will be part of an engaged team and primarily work with microbiological analyses, but some chemical tasks will also be included.

The position is a part-time job where you should be able to work at least two shifts a week, both weekday and weekend shifts. During summer, Christmas, and other holiday periods, you will work up to full-time. The working hours vary in length and can be scheduled both during the day and at night. The workplace is located in Fosie, Malmö.

The role involves responsibility for several stations in the laboratory, which means that the training is relatively extensive. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has at least 1.5 years left of their studies and can start immediately. For those who want to develop within the laboratory or food industry, there are good opportunities to grow within both the role and the company.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Performing bacteriological sampling and cultures
• Measuring pH levels
• Sampling and analysis of fat and protein levels
• Sensory testing and evaluation of dairy products
• Careful documentation of work processes
• Collaboration and communication with various departments within the company

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You are currently a student with at least 1.5 years left of your studies
• You have a strong interest in areas such as biology, chemistry, or food production
• You are flexible and can be available to work at short notice, as well as full-time during holidays and summer
• Attention to detail, willingness to collaborate, and a sense of responsibility are important qualities
• A fondness for dairy products, as sensory evaluations are part of the job
