JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with Region Halland, we can now offer unique job opportunities as Nature Guardians. Varberg is a large tourist town that blossoms especially during the summer, and as a Varberg Nature Guardian, you can help tourists and residents while taking care of our fantastic nature in a sustainable way.

Your working days will primarily be spent outdoors, for example, hiking our trails to ensure they are kept clean and beautiful. Helping our hikers, cyclists, and tourists with any questions and concerns they may have. You will be part of a team working on specific nature conservation efforts, such as making and installing birdhouses, repairing bridges, clearing brush, and maintaining our hiking trails. Perhaps you have some good and exciting ideas yourself!

During the introduction week, you will receive a training package that includes Hospitality Training, Sustainability Training, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, etc. You will also receive a clothing package at the start of your employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors and moving daily. You are responsible, easy to collaborate with, helpful, and proactive. Since the job involves contacting and communicating with other people, such as our foreign visitors, it is a requirement to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English. It is also an advantage if you can speak multiple languages.

We would prefer if you attend a nature management high school or equivalent, but it is not a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have a brush cutter license. A driver's license for a passenger car is a requirement for two of the five positions.
