Each year, Falkenberg Municipality purchases goods, services, and contracts worth millions. An efficient, business-oriented, and strategic procurement process is therefore an important tool to meet the municipality's goals and contribute to sustainable development. We currently have a department consisting of 13 people. In addition to five other procurement officers, a procurement operations manager, and a head of procurement and purchasing, we also have an e-commerce operations manager, e-commerce coordinator, e-commerce administrator, a procurement analyst, and two sustainability development leaders.
We are now looking for a procurement officer to join our team and help strengthen and contribute to the implementation of good sustainable business practices. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of a procurement officer involves stimulating, developing, and enjoyable work where you will be offered challenging and engaging tasks with the opportunity to make a significant difference and to develop yourself and our operations in the area of procurement with a focus on business acumen. The role includes actively working and providing development and improvement suggestions on how we can enhance our processes related to procurement.
As a procurement officer, you will work as an independent project manager and assist our departments and companies in procurements throughout the entire process, from needs and market analysis, procurement strategy, to the procurement work itself. Coordinating procurements with other municipalities in the region is also part of the procurement officer's assignment. An active and continuous contract follow-up as well as advice on procurement and contract issues to the various operations of the municipal group are also included in the role.
The dialogue with our departments, companies, and suppliers is essential and is an important aspect of your daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone ready to develop our procurement processes. Therefore, we see you as a person who actively explores new perspectives within the framework of procurement regulations.
You have worked with qualified procurement tasks, preferably with a focus on food, but are also accustomed to and enjoy working with more routine procurement tasks. You should have good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act. Of course, you have conducted your own procurements, preferably in the food sector. Experience from municipalities and/or municipal companies is an advantage. We also see that you have a degree at the university level or vocational training in procurement, economics, law, or other education that the employer considers comparable.
Your previous experience in the field enables you to quickly adapt to the work, and it is important that you are self-driven and have a structured approach to planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively. Since the tasks require high standards of quality, constructive problem-solving, and business acumen, it is essential that you are meticulous and possess good analytical skills. You are unpretentious, driven, and able to create and maintain good relationships.
You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Swedish, but preferably also in English. You can explain what you want to convey from different perspectives and for different target groups. You are comfortable participating in and leading various forums with both internal and external stakeholders. Through dialogue, inclusion, and creativity, you inspire and motivate others.
