Erikshjälpen is a children's rights organization with a non-profit second-hand operation.
We work on around 100 projects in 16 countries and operate about 50 stores under Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden, Norway, and online.
We work towards the vision of “A changed world where children's dreams come true.”
Our mission is to combat poverty and vulnerability by realizing children's rights worldwide.
Store Assistant
Erikshjälpen is now looking for a store assistant for our fresh store in Kungsbacka! The position is a permanent full-time employment. If you want to contribute to realizing children's rights, this is the role for you. Welcome with your application!
Description
As a store assistant, you will participate in the work to achieve established surplus goals, social goals, and environmental goals. Your task is to work together with your colleagues to create a clean, well-stocked, and sales-oriented store for our customers. You will work closely with employees, volunteers, and individuals undergoing work trials, internships, or other employment through authorities.
Responsibilities
Examples of responsibilities:
- Handle goods for sale, restock and display items in the store
- Work in preparation by sorting and pricing home decor.
- Work at the cash register and manage sales
- You report to the operations manager
Qualifications
You:
- Are open, friendly, and have a representative manner with a high sense of service
- Are self-driven, responsible, and can work independently as well as with others
- Are flexible in your work approach and have the ability to handle different personalities
- Are structured and enjoy working towards goals
- Enjoy meeting people as the work involves close collaboration with employees, volunteers, and individuals undergoing work trials, activities, or other employment through authorities
- Are physically strong as the work is physically demanding and sometimes involves heavy lifting
- Have good social skills and experience with customer interactions
- Find it easy to follow routines and working methods
- We place great importance on personal suitability.
- Have an interest in aid and second-hand work.
- Share our values based on three core principles; the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Erik's spirit, and a Christian view of humanity.
Preferred if you:
- Have experience in retail or second-hand operations.
- Have an interest and knowledge of home decor, both old and modern.
