JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job primarily involves providing service, support, and assistance in IT matters to the municipality's operations through case management, email, and phone. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for providing our users with the best possible IT support.

You will:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users via support tools, email, phone, and in-person visits.
  • Manage cases that come into the service desk, register and categorize them, and follow up to ensure quick and effective resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for users.
  • Maintain a knowledge base with frequently asked questions and answers.
  • Work in a distinct Microsoft environment.
  • Manage mobile devices, both Android and iOS.

Hedemora municipality offers flexible working hours, wellness benefits, and friendly colleagues. Currently, the IT department within the municipal administration has six system technicians, four system administrators, and two IT technicians. QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have some form of IT education, either at the upper secondary or post-secondary level, and/or equivalent experience working in IT support.

It is important that you have a strong interest in IT. You should be comfortable speaking on the phone, and the role involves assisting users both remotely and through in-person visits. You have good social skills and do not settle for just solving problems; you want to do it with the best service possible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and qualities such as good collaboration skills, patience, and a helpful attitude.

To thrive in the role, you need to have:

  • Technical skills and the ability to solve problems for users at various levels.
  • Experience working in a service desk or support environment.
  • The ability to explain technical terms in a simple way.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms.
  • A valid driver's license (B) is required.
  • Experience in configuring and managing mobile devices, primarily via Intune.
