Project Manager at the Public Transport Administration, Borlänge

Do you want to contribute to creating an attractive public transport system in Dalarna and lead projects from planning to implementation? The Public Transport Administration is now seeking a project manager to drive important projects that develop public transport and lead to an attractive travel offer, more satisfied travelers, and efficient agreements with suppliers.

You will work with ongoing procurement of traffic agreements that will be established before a traffic start. At the same time, the conclusion of current agreements must be coordinated. You will also lead other procurements, investigations, and the development of strategic plans for the organization. In the projects, you will have access to the administration's resources and expertise in public transport.

In this role, you will have contact with various stakeholders and ensure that you create value for travelers in collaboration with transport companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.

You will work together with other project managers and business developers to develop and establish a project methodology. You belong to the business area of Strategic Development.

You will follow developments in the industry and participate in national networks. Close collaboration with all parts of the Public Transport Administration is essential.

Required Education

University or college degree in a relevant field or other equivalent education and experience.

Required Experience

Experience in planning, coordinating, and leading projects with multiple stakeholders.

Very good knowledge of the Swedish language and a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Desirable Experience and Education

For the role, experience in public transport, change management, efficiency improvement, or process development is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have:

Knowledge of procurement legislation and knowledge of public transport.

Experience in following up, managing, and improving agreements with suppliers.

Experience from public operations and a politically governed operation either as a purchaser or provider.

Training in project methodology.
