Systems Specialist at Falu Municipality's IT Office
Do you want to work closely with the business and take full responsibility for systems that create real benefits? The IT office is now looking for a driven and experienced systems specialist.
The IT office of Falu Municipality consists of about forty employees who, in close collaboration with businesses and users, develop, manage, and create digital solutions with societal benefits. We work throughout the entire lifecycle – from idea, architecture, and design to development, testing, deployment, management, incident handling, and user support.
At our IT office, you will take significant personal responsibility and have the authority required for the assignment. There are excellent opportunities to influence and develop in the role.
As a systems specialist, you will be part of the System Support team, which consists of four employees and belongs to the unit for Digitalization and Collaboration. The team's mission includes the management of operational systems, including system maintenance, monitoring, database maintenance, incident handling, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Job Responsibilities
As a systems specialist, you have a central role in the management and further development of the municipality's operational systems. You work with the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring that the systems are stable, secure, and fit for purpose.
A large part of the work involves working closely with the care administration and serving as a technical and operational support in matters concerning their operational system Treserva. You contribute your system expertise in dialogue with the business and ensure that the systems effectively support the needs of the operations.
The role also includes participating in the planning and execution of projects, where you are responsible for following up on timelines and goals. The work involves both operational responsibility and contributing your expertise to more overarching and strategic issues.
You work closely with colleagues within the IT office, suppliers, and businesses, where you act as a technical support and advisory party in system-related matters.
Qualifications
The following is required for the role:
- Academic education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience in large and/or complex organizations
- Experience in building networks and working across organizational boundaries with different competencies
- Very good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Good knowledge of SQL database management and PowerShell
- Knowledge of Microsoft IIS and monitoring platforms
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of or experience with PM3
- Experience with Agile working methods
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience with Treserva or similar systems
Employment Conditions
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.
