Care and Welfare Administration is looking for technicians for a new technology group
The Care and Welfare Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly and disability care, home health care, and food services. The administration has over 1,000 employees. The largest group of employees consists of care staff such as nursing assistants, personal assistants, nurses, and chefs. However, there are also many other professions within our operations. We are all key personnel, and our activities are characterized by employees who are engaged, responsible, and competent.
New Technology Group
Do you want to be part of building a completely new technical function that makes a real difference for both users and staff? Are you passionate about practical technical support, problem-solving, and secure digital development? Then you could be one of our two new technicians for the administration's technology group!
About the Assignment
We are facing a significant development of our work with welfare technology. To create a more sustainable, secure, and efficient organization, we are now starting a technology group as a pilot project responsible for the installation, operation, and support of security alarms, digital locks, and other welfare technology throughout the Care and Welfare Administration.
As a technician, you will be a key person in this work. You will work both practically in the field and with technical preparations and administration.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- The role includes responsibility for the installation and deinstallation of security alarms and digital locks in ordinary housing. The work also includes programming and preparation of equipment before installation, handling orders, and planning installation work.
- Furthermore, the role is responsible for the operation and ongoing checks of welfare technology. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with digital locks and other welfare technology is a natural part of the assignment.
- The assignment also includes serving as an easily accessible first-line support for staff in the organization. This means providing practical support for technical problems, both on-site and remotely, as well as assisting employees in using apps, phones, and other technology.
- The role also has a developing and quality-assuring function, where you contribute improvement suggestions, participate in development work, and ensure that the handling of welfare technology is done with high quality, security, and legal certainty.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a good technical understanding and a strong interest in digital solutions
- Enjoys working practically and independently
- Has experience in IT support, technical installation, or equivalent
- Thrives in a service-oriented role and enjoys solving problems
- Is calm, secure, and pedagogical in contact with both users and staff
- Has a B driver's license (requirement)
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite
- Good experience working in a Windows environment as well as with iOS and Android devices
- Familiarity with working with multiple technical systems simultaneously
- Basic understanding of how networks, connectivity, and signal strength affect technical solutions
- Basic understanding of how cloud-based services work
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, which means we value good collaboration skills, responsibility, and a professional approach.
We Offer
- The opportunity to be involved from the start and shape a completely new function
- A developing and varied job with both technology and people
- Close collaboration with digitalization developers and operations
- Project employment for 1 year with the possibility of extension
- Placement in the administration unit
As an employee of Ludvika Municipality, you will be part of an organization that maintains important societal functions. You have access to wellness benefits and opportunities for professional development. Read more at ludvika.se under Work with us.
