Description
The Resource Unit for Children is part of the Social Administration Hisingen.
The unit consists of operations that all work with the target group of children and young people. At Egenkraft, we work with children aged 13–18, their families, and networks. We are a team of eleven family therapists and one method supervisor. We collaborate closely with our family therapy colleagues at Familjekraft, who work with children aged 0–12 years. The unit also has an Infant Program in collaboration with the region and the Preschool Administration, aimed at parents with the very youngest children aged 0-1 year. Our cozy premises are located at Vårväderstorget in the heart of Biskopsgården. Two of our family therapists are leaving us for new assignments, and we are therefore looking for two new colleagues to join our experienced team.
Job Responsibilities
As a family therapist, you work with psychosocial change efforts aimed at strengthening parenting, improving communication, and enhancing relationships within families. The goal of the interventions is for families to develop their own strategies to handle the difficulties they face, and therefore, great emphasis is placed on exploring the families' own needs and resources. We always strive to, together with parents and clients, focus on the child/youth. The work takes place both in our premises, in our families' homes, and in other arenas. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
We offer you a job in a dynamic organization where you work closely with engaged colleagues with high competence and extensive experience. You will receive training and method development, method and process supervision, and present leadership in the form of a method supervisor. Within the City of Gothenburg, we also offer wellness benefits and a bicycle allowance. Personal suitability is highly valued.
The working hours are during the day, but we work late one evening every other week, either Mondays or Tuesdays, until 6:00 PM.
Qualifications
To meet the families' needs, we see that you are flexible, creative, and willing to try different treatment methods. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is structured, and achieves results. You are a good listener who has the ability to meet people with complex needs and different circumstances.
We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker or social educator (3-year degree). We prefer that you have experience in family therapy and good knowledge of children's and adolescents' development and behavioral patterns. Training in systemic approaches, BIFF, LFT, Repulse, or abuse-specific skills training is an advantage.
You have the ability to work independently and in a team. You collaborate with colleagues and clients within regulatory units. Documentation occurs in the form of journal writing, creating implementation plans, and summaries.
We warmly welcome your application!
