We need a Senior Social Worker in the Child Investigation Unit as one of our colleagues will be on parental leave. The area of operations is undergoing a development process, which may mean that the assignment and placement may change but within children/youth.

The Child Investigation Unit has a unit manager, two administrators, 22 social workers, two specialist case handlers, and four Senior Social Workers. The unit works with the target group of children aged 0-12 years and their families. The unit's mission consists of investigating children's needs for protection and/or support according to SoL and LVU and making preliminary assessments in ongoing cases. The mission also includes following up on decided interventions.

The investigation unit is divided into four teams led by Senior Social Workers. In the teams, we have in-depth discussions, knowledge of each other's cases, and close management, which increases the legal certainty in the handling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Senior Social Worker in the Child Investigation Unit involves being a team leader and providing close management and working to ensure competence and quality in the operations. This includes acting as deputy unit manager, being responsible for case reviews and case distribution, as well as providing support and guidance in complex cases. You work closely with the unit manager and other Senior Social Workers and participate in the unit's management group. As a Senior Social Worker, you generally do not handle your own cases. External supervision occurs within the unit in smaller groups.

Your responsibilities include:

• Being a team leader and providing close management.
• Delegating tasks and providing advice, support, and conditions for colleagues' development.
• Working to ensure competence and quality in the operations.
• Acting as deputy unit manager.
• Being responsible for case reviews and case distribution.
• Providing support and guidance in complex cases.
• Working closely with the unit manager and other Senior Social Workers, participating in the unit's management group.
• As a Senior Social Worker, you generally do not handle your own cases.
• External supervision occurs within the unit.

Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the advertisement period.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, 210 credits, or equivalent in an older system, as well as a driver's license and driving experience. For the position of Senior Social Worker, we also expect you to have previous experience in public authority work for the relevant target group, children aged 0-12 years and their families.
