The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) in Skåne consists of outpatient care, inpatient care, and specialized teams. Outpatient care is divided into four geographical areas as well as the First Line area, which has units throughout Skåne. The mission of the organization pertains to specialized child and adolescent psychiatry for patients up to 18 years old. Within Bup specialist care, the mission is to provide interventions for patients with moderate to severe mental health issues.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry area in Helsingborg/Ängelholm/Landskrona provides outpatient care in the form of clinics and intermediate care, which includes family day care and infant services. The sizes of the three clinics are proportional to their respective catchment areas, with Helsingborg being the largest, Ängelholm the middle-sized, and Landskrona the smallest clinic. The area collaborates with eight other municipalities: Båstad, Klippan, Åstorp, Örkelljunga, Bjuv, Höganäs, and Svalöv, as well as Malmö where inpatient care is located.

Bup in Skåne is an accredited university healthcare unit, which means close collaboration with the medical faculty at Lund University regarding both research and education. We value interest and experience in research and education when filling our positions.

We at Bup in Ängelholm are organized into two general psychiatric clinic teams. The assessment and treatment work within the organization is conducted in interdisciplinary teams characterized by close collaboration among different professional groups. We offer orientation/training, mentorship, and good opportunities for supervision. In our work, we utilize the breadth of knowledge and experience we collectively possess. Together with you, we want to create safe and secure care for our patients!

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a psychologist colleague for a permanent position! As a psychologist with us, you will work in a team alongside a social worker, occupational therapist, nurse, and doctor. You will engage in qualified assessment, investigation, and treatment work, both individually and in groups according to Bup Skåne's standardized care processes. The responsibilities also include networking, team conferences, consultations, and participation in the development of the organization, educational initiatives, and method development. An important part of the work is collaboration around the patient both within the organization and with care neighbors, as well as other partners the patient comes into contact with.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in psychiatry and/or have experience working with children, adolescents, and families, preferably within child and adolescent psychiatry.

We seek a colleague who is skilled in collaborating both internally and externally. You have a strong commitment, humility, and flexibility. Since you work in a team with other professionals at the clinic, very good collaborative skills are a prerequisite. A large part of the work also requires independence, and therefore you need to be responsible, as well as enjoy and have experience of independent work. We see it as a given that you have a good demeanor, and we place great importance on personal suitability.
