The reception is organized within the adult psychiatry area in Region Värmland.

In addition to the reception in Arvika, there is psychiatric outpatient care in Hagfors, Torsby, Kristinehamn, Säffle, and Karlstad. The psychiatric reception in Arvika is located in facilities at Arvika Hospital.

We run our unit in a cross-professional collaboration where we have an ongoing development work aimed at enhancing our team cooperation even further. You will work in a reception with a good and supportive work climate alongside colleagues with extensive work experience. We have a solid structure with clear and established routines, and we prioritize the patient's best interests.

At the reception in Arvika, in addition to social workers, there are also nurses, specialist doctors, training doctors, administrative staff, caregivers, psychologists, PTP psychologists, and occupational therapists.

We operate in three municipalities; Arvika, Eda, and Årjäng. The primary work is centered in Arvika, but some travel may occur based on needs, primarily to Årjäng.

We continuously work to offer care and treatment in accordance with applicable guidelines. There is a good opportunity for development and training within the framework of this assignment.

Your Responsibilities

The assignment includes a varied and independent general psychiatric reception work consisting of suicide risk assessments, suicide prevention measures, support conversations, and cross-professional collaboration with other colleagues at the reception. It also includes collaboration with care neighbors and other external actors.

As a social worker, you are expected to juggle multiple tasks, possess good knowledge of both psychiatric and municipal legislation, assignments, working methods, and interventions. You will be offered a good introduction and ongoing supervision.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a social worker with an interest in psychiatry, preferably with a license as a healthcare social worker. Experience from previous work in psychiatric care is advantageous, as is therapeutic work within municipal operations. It is also beneficial if you have a basic psychotherapy education and several years of clinical experience.

We value personal maturity, a secure approach, and a good ability to collaborate, communicate, and cooperate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and care neighbors.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and prefer that you have a strong patient focus and a collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to take responsibility and work independently. We also value your analytical ability to solve problems and make well-founded decisions in various situations.
