About the job as a communication strategist

As a communication strategist, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational communication work in one of four sub-assignments within the government assignment "It's about life - national strategy for mental health". You will work closely with project leaders and other key individuals from more than 25 authorities.

You will lead communication planning, implement activities, drive dialogues, and ensure quality in communication deliveries in a complex and highly prioritized environment. The assignment is both strategic and implementation-oriented.

Examples of tasks:

• Lead the strategic and operational communication work within the government assignment.
• Collaborate with communicators and experts at the authority as well as more than 25 authorities in total.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement communication activities at the national level.
• Lead and organize dialogue meetings, workshops, and networking meetings internally and externally.
• Order, lead, and ensure quality in communication services from agencies and subcontractors.
• Ensure structured reporting and documentation according to the requirements for government assignments.
• Be the sub-project leader for the sub-assignment "Strategic communication".

The person we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, unpretentious, and has very good decision-making ability. You have extensive experience in strategic communication and are used to working in complex government assignments with many stakeholders. You thrive in roles where you both lead, analyze, coordinate, and actively carry out communication efforts.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 10 years of experience in strategic communication.
• Very good experience working in government assignments, with requirements for management, governance, and reporting.
• Documented experience in assignments where multiple societal actors and authorities have collaborated.
• Good experience leading strategic communication work in the field of mental health at the national level.
• Very good experience in ordering and ensuring quality in communication services from agencies.
• Very good ability to plan and implement communication activities, workshops, and dialogue meetings.
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is very important that you clearly describe two relevant reference assignments in your application, as these are an absolute requirement for qualifying. At least one of these must have been completed in the last three (3) years. The same assignment may be used for both references, provided it fully meets all the requirements for each category.

Reference Assignment 1: You have had an assignment as a communication strategist in a government assignment with more than five participating authorities.

Reference Assignment 2: You have led a strategic communication effort in the field of mental health.
