About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kärra Health Center and BVC! We are located in Norra Hisingen, 12 km from Gothenburg Central Station, 13 km from Kungälv Travel Center, and 7 km from Angered Center.

We are a well-functioning health center with approximately 9,600 registered patients, stable staffing, and good finances. The health center is located near Kärra Center, close to beautiful nature and within walking distance from the commuter station with free parking available.

Our team includes specialists in general medicine, ST doctors, district and nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries. The health center has well-developed specialist nurse clinics in diabetes, asthma/COPD, medical consultations, child health care, and laboratory services.

We are 26 employees who enjoy working together, fostering a friendly and helpful work climate with great engagement and joy at work. About the Job

Your main tasks will consist of assessing and treating mental and behavioral health issues based on the primary care mission. The focus is on preventive and early interventions based on common reasons for seeking care at a health center. You will work based on the needs of the registered population with digital care meetings, internet and group therapy, as well as physical individual visits.

We work according to Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), which includes high accessibility, stepwise care, and collaboration with other professionals and care neighbors. It is important that you have an interest in working according to the principles of IBH. This means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues. It also means working with stepwise care, where interventions range from psychoeducation and self-care advice to guided treatment with literature or internet therapy, group therapy, or individual treatment interventions. To meet the needs of the entire patient population, the ability to vary methods and the scope of treatment interventions is required.

You and your colleagues are jointly responsible with the health center manager for the development of the health center in a continuously ongoing improvement process. Supervision of psychology candidates or PTP psychologists may be relevant.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist with CBT level 1 competence; other specializations may also be relevant. It is advantageous if you have experience in the following areas:

• Working as a psychologist at the primary care level
• Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH)
• Stepwise care
• Internet-based psychological treatment
• Group therapy

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development of the organization. We hope that you will engage in daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health center and contribute as a consultative resource to other professionals. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a good demeanor.

The position is a one-year temporary contract with a possibility of extension.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection is done in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who will call candidates for a phone interview. Then, the recruiting manager will make a second selection of the applicants and invite them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
