Main Tasks and Responsibilities

At Folktandvården Lundby, we work in a positive spirit where teamwork and development of the business are natural elements. At the clinic, we have 22 employees, including 5 dentists, 4 dental hygienists, 7 dental nurses, and 3 receptionists along with clinic management. The clinic has 11 bright treatment rooms. We focus on competence development, teamwork, and a pleasant workplace. We want to create good work structures to meet our patients in the best way and to work at the top of our competence. We see you as an important part of your own development and taking responsibility and initiative for this.

The role includes, among other things:

• Assisting in examinations and treatments
• Working with your own patients in prophylaxis treatments, onboarding, oral health counseling, or acclimatization treatment
• Work in sterilization and administrative tasks
• Guidance/assistance of students may also be part of the role.

Competence Requirements and Profile

• Trained dental nurse with an approved education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 6 and 7. Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
