The Municipal Executive Office is the administration of the Municipal Council and the Municipal Assembly. The office also serves as an administration for the Integration and Labor Market Committee as well as the Water and Environment Committee.

We work with a holistic perspective, close to the political leadership, with the goal of providing the best possible support and service to Kalmar Municipality's political organization, companies, as well as administrations and the public. The Municipal Executive Office consists of over 300 employees across 14 different operations. The office operates within a wide range of areas and has several positions with specialist competencies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you skilled at facilitating workshops, leading dialogue sessions to identify needs and challenges, and creating new innovative solutions to complex problems? We are looking for a person with extensive experience in creating conditions for learning, collaboration, development, innovation, and a good ability to manage and engage people.

The position within the Digitalization and Innovation unit at the Municipal Executive Office has a corporate-wide mandate and focuses on supporting, inspiring, and challenging our administrations and companies in their work with development and innovation.

The role involves identifying needs, collaborating with various competencies and roles throughout the organization, creating new collaborations, and increasing the organization's ability to work structurally and creatively with innovation management. You will facilitate foresight processes, create conditions for exploratory conversations and learning, develop and support various innovation efforts, monitor the environment, and translate ideas into concrete innovation projects. It also involves following up on innovation work to ensure it is beneficial. This can involve economic results, but also other effects such as increased customer satisfaction, more efficient processes, or stronger employee engagement. The role also entails dialogue and collaboration with Kalmar Science Park.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A bachelor's degree from a university or equivalent experience that the employer considers qualifying. For example, in computer science, innovation management, digitalization, or business development.
• You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English, and you have several years of experience working with innovation and development within larger organizations.
• You have good experience in working with innovation management or change management.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with innovation in politically governed organizations.
• Experience in service design and working with creative digital tools.
• Experience in listening, analyzing, and understanding needs in the interaction between academia, civil society, business, and the public sector.
• Experience in working with strategic foresight, facilitating groups through future scenarios, and leading networks.
• Certification as an innovation leader according to ISO 56002.

We are looking for someone who is attentive, driven, and has a solution-oriented approach. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate clearly and pedagogically. With the ability to see the big picture, you take responsibility for structuring your work and driving processes forward from idea to implementation. You are motivated, persistent, and ensure that your commitments are completed with good results.

You have a good ability and interest in facilitating conversations, listening, and understanding others' needs and challenges, and quickly grasping complex contexts and different perspectives.

It is important that you enjoy working in cross-functional teams where you contribute both analysis and a holistic perspective. The role requires good communicative and pedagogical skills, as well as the knowledge to adapt ideas, concepts, and messages to the target audience.
