Technical Writer in IT Development

About the Position

As a technical writer in IT development, you will create clear and user-friendly documentation (manuals, instructions, system descriptions) for complex technical products and systems, often through close collaboration with others. The role requires a good technical understanding in areas such as software development or infrastructure and strong linguistic precision, both in Swedish and English.

You will work on creating and updating user manuals, troubleshooting guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and training materials. The role includes structuring documentation to improve readability and usability. You will also quality assure, i.e., ensure that the information is correct, concise, and tailored to the target audience.

Your tasks may also include working with requirements management of technical products.

In this role, you will collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, and other experts to understand the product.

You will belong to the Digital Infrastructure department, which focuses on national digital infrastructure for the health, care, and welfare sector. The department primarily works to create conditions for interoperability, collaboration architecture, external collaboration, and the requirements that come with EHDS. We base our working methods on agile methods and utilize the SAFe framework as support for this.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant education in IT or equivalent work experience
• at least three years of experience as a technical writer or equivalent technical role in IT
• experience in producing documentation for maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, or use of IT systems or IT-related products
• the ability to understand complex IT solutions and translate them into clear and audience-appropriate text
• very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience from the health, care, and welfare sector
• experience in creating comprehensive instruction books and training materials
• experience working with requirements management of IT-related products
