ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT

Working for Save the Children means making a difference. As an employee at Save the Children, you know that your work contributes to making the world a better place for children and young people, surrounded by engaged colleagues who share common values. With us, you have the privilege to both develop and be challenged.

Region South is one of four regions in Save the Children's Sweden program. In the region, dedicated employees work with activities for children, young people, and parents, as well as support for elected representatives and volunteers. Your place of employment is Kalmar. Your team is Småland and includes, in addition to Kalmar County, colleagues in Kronoberg County and Jönköping County. This wonderful group consists of various roles such as project leaders, process leaders, activity leaders, business developers, and group managers. Region South is characterized by a warm, brave, and inclusive organizational culture. We want to be at the forefront of creating innovative solutions and partnerships for a sustainable society with good growing conditions for children in socio-economic vulnerability, children in migration, and children who have experienced violence.

The role is a process leader in the project "Children's Right to Well-Being - Meaningful Leisure in Our Rural Areas" funded by Region Kalmar County. You will work very closely with Save the Children's districts and local associations. The project aims to increase access to meaningful leisure and social activities outside of school hours for children living in rural areas. Activities will be carried out in at least six municipalities with high child poverty. This will involve both travel and varied working hours.

You will primarily be responsible for participant-based interventions and contribute to communication, documentation, impact measurement, and method development. You will work in the municipalities with collaboration between all different parties in the project and contacts with students and parents. You will map participants and identify suitable interventions within the framework of the project. The assignment includes contact and collaboration with other actors and can be combined with strategic assignments. You will work in direct support with children and adults and hold group and individual support. You will work within one or more areas of migration, violence, socio-economic vulnerability, and implement interventions based on the needs of the target group. The role also includes networking and anchoring work in the implementation of the intervention, as well as raising voices and issues for Save the Children's local advocacy work.
