We are looking for a Financial Controller with experience in group accounting

As a financial controller within Lidköping Municipality, you will belong to the accounting unit, which is part of the municipality's finance department.

The finance department's mission is to serve as a resource for both the municipality's organization and companies. You will be welcomed into a department that is eager to share experiences, has a high ceiling, and where a lot happens. You will work centrally at the heart of democracy, supporting operations, group management, and politics. Our current financial controller will retire in the summer, and we are now looking for her successor.

About the job

Lidköping Municipality owns a parent company called Lidköping Stadshus AB. Lidköping Stadshus AB, in turn, owns a number of wholly-owned subsidiaries. Together, this forms a municipal group. As a financial controller, you will be responsible for preparing group financial statements twice a year for both the parent company and the municipal group in collaboration with the companies' finance managers. Throughout the year, questions and investigations arise that concern both the municipality and the companies, where you will be the one to hold this together.

You will also be highly involved in the municipality's financial statements regarding bookings, reconciliations, documentation, and questions from auditors as well as SCB surveys. You will be an important support and sounding board for the rest of the finance department, and you have a strong interest in developing accounting and are not afraid to take responsibility for investigating the questions that arise.

Who are you?

To succeed in your work, we see that you have a university degree in economics or equivalent education, as well as at least 5 years of qualified work experience in finance. Experience in group accounting is a significant plus.

As a person, you are curious, clever, and have a personal drive to improve and simplify what you work with. You enjoy collaborating, have good analytical skills, are solution-oriented, and think holistically. Additionally, you appreciate a changing everyday life, have a structured working method, and can quickly prioritize when needed.
