Do you want a summer job where you make a difference every day? As a substitute in preschool and after-school care, you will help create safety, joy in play, and development for children – while also gaining valuable experience, meeting new colleagues, and having a job where the days go by quickly.

We are currently looking for you who are interested in a summer job. During the summer, there is an opportunity to work a longer continuous substitute position, depending on the needs of the organization and your availability.

YOUR ROLE

As a substitute in preschool, you will help create a safe, caring, and developing everyday life for the children. You take an active role in the daily work and are close to the children during play, routines, meals, and outdoor activities. Together with colleagues, you contribute to an environment characterized by curiosity, safety, and joy, where every child is seen and responded to according to their needs. The role requires you to be present, responsive, and able to adapt to the children's different ages and conditions.

As a substitute in after-school care, you contribute to creating safe, fun, and meaningful days for the children, especially during the summer when the activities differ from those during the school year. You participate in planning, implementing, and taking part in activities with colleagues, both indoors and outdoors. You are a support in the children's play, encourage community, and contribute to an environment where children feel safe, involved, and have the opportunity to develop their interests.

Whether you work in preschool or after-school care, the assignment is about being a safe adult in the children's everyday lives and contributing to an organization where children can grow, develop, and feel welcome.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a person that children and colleagues feel safe with. You have an easy time collaborating, are responsible, and can adapt when the day changes plans. You are attentive and have a good demeanor – even when the pace is high.

It is an advantage if you have experience from preschool, after-school care, or other work with children, or if you have pedagogical education/current studies – but it is not a requirement.

You must have the ability and physical conditions to actively ensure the children's safety and well-being through continuous supervision, risk assessment, and quick actions when needed. To work with us, you need to be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.

For work within the organization, you also need to order a criminal record extract for work within schools or preschools from the Police (https://polisen.se/) and present it.
