The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit, FMTIS, has a collective responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and management of the Armed Forces' technical command support systems. These systems support military operations at sea, on land, and in the air – in Sweden and abroad. Our responsibility encompasses the entire chain, from facilities and transmission and carrier networks to applications, servers, and computers. The work is conducted at strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

About the position

As the Logistics Officer for the Systems Unit, you will play a central role within the unit. You will be responsible for the preparation, planning, coordination, and follow-up of incoming logistics tasks. The tasks will vary within the logistics area, where you will support the activities carried out by the unit. The role includes work with the Systems Unit's war unit activities. You will also support and work in the role of planning officer in the staff. You will do this together with other functions in the unit's staff and departments.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the unit's Chief of Staff
  • Be responsible for the preparation, planning, coordination, and follow-up of the Systems Unit's logistics tasks
  • Participate in the preparation, planning, and coordination of other incoming tasks
  • Participate in the Systems Unit's war unit activities
  • Be prepared to lead or participate in temporarily assembled working groups and projects
  • Be prepared to be responsible for orders and corresponding meetings at the unit level
  • Be prepared to provide support to the unit staff

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Approved degree from a 3-year high school or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working with material supply or similar tasks
  • Experience in staff work, e.g., administration and coordination/handling
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Driver's license at least B.

Work location: Karlskrona

Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement. The position is civilian. Salary: Individual salary setting.

The position involves travel both for the day but can also be for longer periods.
