IT Controller for Eskilstuna Municipality

We are looking for an IT controller who wants to work with digital services, monitoring, and quality. With us, you will have a varied and developing role in an organization that has great significance for the municipality's operations and residents.

The IT unit is responsible for the municipality's IT platforms and ensures that the systems are secure, stable, and function in everyday life. We support the operations during IT procurements, development efforts, and operations. We work closely with our customers in the municipality and always start from their needs.

The municipality's overall work with digitalization is led by the municipal executive office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both the IT unit and the municipality's central functions for digitalization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT controller, you will work with analysis, monitoring, and presentation of the IT operations. You will follow up on digital services, costs, and quality and contribute to developing the work with the municipality's digitalization according to the approved digitalization program.

You will prepare documentation that is used to support decisions, for example, regarding the financing of development efforts. The work takes place both continuously in the operations and in various development and improvement projects. You will identify needs for change and propose improvements, including in connection with procurements and purchases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• developing and improving the municipality's service catalog
• working with investment plans for IT
• monitoring and quality assuring the municipality's digital services as well as working with budgets and forecasts
• supporting managers and leadership with analyses, reports, and follow-ups
• monitoring contracts, suppliers, and licenses
• contributing to the follow-up of the digitalization program by showing how the work is developing, what risks exist, and what benefits it brings to the operations
• contributing to learning and improvement through dialogue, analysis, and follow-up

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education and several years of experience working as a controller, KAM, or in a similar role. You have previously worked with IT or digitalization issues and have a good understanding of how IT services are planned, monitored, and financed.

You have experience in analyzing and presenting information clearly, preferably in larger organizations and IT environments. You understand the value of an IT service catalog as support for both the development and management of IT services.

As a person, you take responsibility and drive your work forward. You can explain complex issues in a pedagogical way and are clear when you need to set requirements. Your ability to see the big picture is combined with precision in analyzing figures and documentation. You enjoy collaborating with others and are attentive in meetings with colleagues and operations.
