About Us

Welcome to develop and grow with one of Södermanland's largest employers. We are now looking for a driven and experienced IT Infrastructure Technician for the application technology unit.

Region Sörmland IT (RSIT) has about 140 employees located in three locations: Nyköping, Eskilstuna, and Katrineholm. We are the main provider of IT services to the region and deliver complete IT solutions to support operations with system development, architecture, project management, administration, and operations. The region has about 10,000 users and infrastructure across the entire geographical area of Region Sörmland. We work according to the system management model PM3 and deliver services according to ITIL.

Your Responsibilities

Managing monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments, and upgrades of server and application solutions is part of your daily work. You will also work proactively with new effective solutions in the region's various management teams, delivery areas, assignments, and projects. The role also includes the ability to take the lead in technical matters, guide colleagues through complex problems, and contribute to the team working in a structured manner towards common goals. The ability to influence, build trust, and drive improvement work is therefore significant. On-call duty may be relevant in some cases.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with broad and solid experience working with server-client technology in larger and more complex environments.

  • Documented several years of experience in server/client operations in a Windows environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of application operations.
  • General knowledge of Linux.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience in leading technical initiatives, mentoring colleagues, or coordinating work within teams is meritorious as the role requires good leadership skills even without formal management.

Meritorious

  • SCOM, SQL, certification handling, PowerShell, IIS, web services, and other relevant academic degrees or equivalent IT experience.
  • Post-secondary IT education.
  • Knowledge of the management model PM3 and the ITIL framework.
  • Driver's license B.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are innovative and passionate about IT. You are engaged, structured, self-driven, and willing to make your own decisions. Being stress-resistant and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is a given for you. Since the role involves collaboration with many functions, you need to be a good communicator in both speech and writing, as well as having a very good ability to document. In addition, we appreciate your ability to take natural leadership in technical contexts – for example, by supporting colleagues, driving solutions forward, creating structure in complex tasks, and contributing to an environment where learning and improvement are central. We place great importance on personal qualities and suitability.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applied. Location: Nyköping with the possibility of remote work part of the time.
