System Administrator in Finance

We are looking for an engaged system administrator in finance who wants to help develop the municipality's financial systems and support functions to meet future demands. You will be part of the Central Finance and Accounting Unit, a developing unit with good opportunities to grow and contribute both strategically and operationally.

As a system administrator, you will be responsible for the management and further development of the municipality's financial systems in close collaboration with finance functions and IT. The role also involves active participation in the upcoming project for changing the financial system. The finance department's mission is to contribute to a long-term sustainable economy and effective operational management for the municipality, focusing on quality and efficient processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and further develop financial systems and ensure correct financial processes.
• Provide user support, guidance, and training in the financial system.
• Handle error reports, analyze problems, and suggest improvements.
• Participate in requirement specification, testing, and improvement projects.
• Collaborate with finance departments, IT departments, and external suppliers.
• Responsibility for certain accounting issues may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Experience in system management or working with financial systems in the municipal sector.
• Experience with system changes and requirement specification during system changes is desirable.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial processes.
• Ability to translate operational needs into system solutions.
• Good communication skills in speech and writing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
