System Administrator at Strängnäs Municipality

The position of system administrator is located in the administrative unit, which has the main responsibility for, among other things, the management of our municipal document and case management system, registration and archiving, the political decision-making processes, and the implementation of general elections. A total of 13 people work in the unit.
The administrative unit belongs, together with the security unit and the unit for sustainable community development, to the secretariat department. A central department close to municipal leadership and politics that works horizontally across the entire administration.
At our administrative unit, a good collaborative climate is important; we value job satisfaction and working together. We offer work on-site in our newly renovated municipal building, or remote work when it suits the needs of the organization.
We are now looking for a new system administrator who, together with others in the unit, will continue the work of being a competent, friendly, and well-functioning unit where employees are offered great opportunities to influence and develop the operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The system administrator position handles the management, support, and further development of the municipal document and case management system Lex. You will have contact with the supplier and our IT department, support users, and provide advice during projects or development work. For us, this means being an object specialist in our overall development and management model, and participation in work meetings occurs regularly.
You are responsible for the administrative aspects of the system regarding users, permissions, and building templates, but of course also for the digital improvement work that the system can support. Upgrades and monitoring of the external environment are included. Ensuring high-quality work in the system is a given.
The work is carried out both within and outside the unit, and training sessions occur regularly. The position is both strategic and operational.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- a post-secondary education relevant to the position, or other experience that the employer considers equivalent.
- experience working as a system administrator or with other digital business development.
- good basic technical competence.
- good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have worked in municipal or other public sector organizations.
We are looking for someone who is self-driven and confident with a high drive. You are used to taking overall responsibility and appreciate the mix of hands-on user support while also developing and digging into a problem to find solutions.
You appreciate a structured way of working and are organized. Being pedagogical and supportive in a friendly and helpful manner is important in this position. You are good at communicating and enjoy having contact with many people. You are meticulous and responsible. You see digital business development as a natural way forward.
