For our exciting assignment Hallsberg-Stenkumla, we are now looking for a construction site supervisor in Geotechnics. We are looking for someone with experience in larger infrastructure projects who wants to work with production.
The Swedish Transport Administration's project Hallsberg-Stenkumla constitutes the final part of the reconstruction of the freight corridor between Hallsberg and Degerön. WSP has previously investigated and developed the railway plan and system documentation for the section Hallsberg-Stenkumla, and the ongoing assignment includes design for the new construction of this section of 13 km of railway with double tracks in a new alignment. The facility includes a 2.4 km long rock tunnel, consisting of two single-track tunnels, as well as about ten railway bridges and one road bridge. Additionally, the reconstruction of roads affected by the new railway and the construction of service roads adjacent to the railway are included. A total of 72 new switches will be built. The project is expected to be completed by 2032.
As a leading player in the consulting industry, we actively work with BIM 360 and ACC to optimize our projects and ensure efficiency and quality in every construction site follow-up. These tools play a crucial role in our workflow and enable smooth communication, easy collaboration, and clear document management.
The Position The role of the construction site supervisor involves following up on contracts to ensure that regulations and project requirements are met and to establish documentation for this. We also provide support and advice during complicated and time-critical construction phases. In the coming years, your tasks will be planned according to the needs of the Hallsberg-Stenkumla assignment.
The main focus of the position is construction site follow-up, but if interested, design assignments may also be relevant; in practice, the distribution will vary according to needs. You will have the opportunity to take your theoretical knowledge to the construction site and gain practical experience to bring back to future design work. Today, we at WSP work on design in both large multidisciplinary assignments such as Four Tracks Uppsala, the Subway to Älvsjö, and the ERTMS expansion, as well as smaller assignments for the Swedish Transport Administration, municipalities, and contractors.
For most of the next 4 years, your workplace at WSP will be at the project office in Hallsberg. However, we are also positive about you working from the nearest local office in relation to your place of residence. Organizationally, we are geographically divided into departments, and we also have an overarching discipline division that both develops systems, employees, and assignments and acts as experts in all our areas.
Your Profile We are looking for someone with a relevant education and several years of work experience from similar larger construction projects in production as a construction manager/construction site supervisor/foreman/project manager. It is also an advantage if you have experience in design or project management in assignments.
It is important that you can express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as our daily contact with clients is in Swedish and the documents we deliver are in Swedish. Since WSP is an international company, it is an advantage if you can speak additional languages.
