We are a large and dedicated group of doctors covering outpatient care in Hallsberg, Lindesberg, Karlskoga, and Örebro, as well as inpatient care in Örebro. We work together with management and staff to implement and develop good, personalized psychiatric care for our patients. Within the region, there is also an active and exciting research environment where many doctors conduct research part-time.

We are now looking for someone with experience in affective disorders or brain stimulation treatments for the Affective Clinic and Brain Stimulation Unit in Örebro. General Psychiatric Outpatient Care is part of the specialized services within the Health and Medical Care Administration that offers specialized care for psychiatric disorders. General psychiatric outpatient care is available both in Örebro and in several parts of the county. The mission of general psychiatry is to assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals referred to our units via referral, or who seek help on their own. Treatment and psychoeducational interventions are provided both individually and in groups, as well as through digital consultations. Work is often conducted in teams that include doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical administrative staff.

General Psychiatric Inpatient Care is located at the University Hospital in Örebro. Psychiatric wards 2 and 3 receive patients in need of inpatient care coming from the psychiatric emergency department, from our general psychiatric outpatient clinics, or from other hospitals. On the ward, some patients are treated voluntarily under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and some involuntarily under the Compulsory Psychiatric Care Act (LPT). The inpatient care also includes a psychiatric emergency department with on-call services that are open around the clock. The region has also developed SPOT (Specialist Psychiatric Care Team), which is a person-centered and flexible form of care where frequent interventions can be provided at home.

Psychiatrist for the Affective Clinic and Brain Stimulation Unit

As a specialist physician in general psychiatry, you will lead the psychiatric treatment work together with the patient's multidisciplinary team. You will also be part of the on-call service for the psychiatry area based at the psychiatric emergency department in Örebro.
