ValueOne is looking for an Operational Planner for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Eskilstuna. The assignment starts in February and initially runs for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

About the role

As an Operational Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of spare parts, efficient material flows, and optimized inventory levels that support the company's aftermarket operations. The role involves working in a data-driven supply chain environment where you process and analyze data sets and automate analyses and reports using programming in Python and SQL.

• Responsible for daily planning and control of material flows.
• Manage needs, deviations, and capacity challenges in the material flow.
• Optimize deliveries, forecasts, and order flows to achieve the right service level.
• Analyze and optimize inventory levels based on demand, lead times, and risks.
• Propose and implement improvements to inventory parameters and control models.
• Work proactively to prevent stockouts and overstock.
• Process and analyze large data sets to identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Automate analyses and reporting with Python and SQL.
• Support decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Experience and skills

To succeed in this role, you have several years of experience in a planning role within the manufacturing industry and good knowledge of data analysis as well as programming in Python and SQL. You communicate fluently in English, while knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. Experience with Azure, advanced analytics, and AI is also considered a significant plus.

As a person, you have strong analytical skills and are used to working with large data sets. You take initiative, identify improvement opportunities, and translate them into concrete, actionable proposals.
