About the position

ABECE is a company that develops industrial control and machine systems for the production of roof tiles. ABECE is now facing an exciting future and is looking for an automation engineer whose role will be of great importance in the family-oriented company. You will be part of a team of electrical designers and automation engineers who will support you in your continued development. The position is suitable for you who have experience in programming control systems. We appreciate that you enjoy contact with new people and that you are self-driven and problem-solving. Job responsibilities

When you start as an automation engineer, you will receive an introduction related to both the company and products. You will work closely with production to get to know ABECE's products and machine systems. Once you are settled in, you will work in a broad role, with varying tasks where you will work with the entire chain. Here you will work end-to-end with unique customer projects from building machine control from scratch to HMI and user function. You will have close collaboration with production, the rest of the development department, and customers. The work will take place both in Nyköping and on-site at the company's customers, who may be located on the other side of the globe! You will travel on average 100 days a year, with the possibility of more travel days. At the customer site, production lines are set up, installed, and tuned for optimal operation. The work is varied, where you must be solution-focused and flexible in the face of the problems you may encounter.

Examples of main job responsibilities:

  • Work with PLC and robot programming as well as work with motor controls.
  • Work closely with both product and customer, where you will eventually contribute your specialist expertise in the automation field.
  • Be involved in developing tomorrow's solutions for the future production lines of roof tiles. Do you want to develop in automation in a family-oriented company? We are looking for you who

  • Have at least 2 years of work experience in automation
  • Have a post-secondary education with a focus on automation
  • Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, so that you can communicate with both colleagues and customers around the world.
  • Want to see and discover more of the world! You have both the will and the opportunity to travel about 100 days a year.
  • Have a strong technical interest
  • Have basic knowledge of electrical engineering
  • Good computer skills
  • Have a B driver's license

Meritorious:

  • If you have knowledge of Siemens, SEW, and/or FANUC
