Our main factory is located in Stora Sundby outside Eskilstuna and serves as the group's “core plant” for production, industrialization, and method development. Here we develop processes and working methods that are implemented in our factories in Sweden, Germany, Ireland, and India.

Westermo is in a strong growth phase with increased investments and a clear ambition to continue expanding globally.

You will lead a team of about 11 employees and work closely with production, test technology, quality, and other central functions in the business.

Your mission is to ensure that our production processes continue to develop towards higher capacity, increased automation, and improved efficiency, with a particular focus on strengthening our journey towards a more digitalized and smart factory.

Examples of responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of production processes from incoming materials to finished products
  • Be responsible for technical improvement initiatives within automation, digitalization, and AI
  • Ensure the right capacity and technical conditions in the factory in line with increased demand
  • Participate in business planning and S&OP to ensure the right machine capacity
  • Work structured with KPIs, budget, and follow-up
  • Industrialize new products in close collaboration with R&D
  • Contribute to and drive global projects related to the role as core plant
  • Help develop the factory in Stora Sundby towards a more digitalized, smart, and world-leading production

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced leader in production or production technology who thrives in an environment where technology, development, and improvement work are at the center.

You have a strong ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution and are driven by developing both people and processes.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in leading roles within production, production technology, or industrial development
  • Good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes
  • Experience in improvement work, automation, or digitalization in production
  • Academic education in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience with budget, KPI monitoring, and business development
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English

As a person, you are structured, development-driven, and clear in your leadership. You have the ability to create engagement in the team while driving change in a technically advanced environment.
