CAD Designer with Mechanical Background Wanted at Gymleco
Fitness Trade Europe ABStockholms län, Haninge
Previous experience is desired
Gymleco is looking for a CAD Designer with a mechanical background
Gymleco is today Northern Europe's largest manufacturer and one of the world's leading suppliers of professional gym equipment. Since 1994, we have designed and produced unique, functional, and space-saving gym machines with long durability and high quality. Our products are represented in a broad international market, and we continue to expand globally.
We are in an expansive phase and are now looking for a CAD Designer for our product development
Since the beginning, Gymleco's founder has personally designed and constructed all machines. Today, he still leads product development together with another colleague, but as we continue to grow, we are now strengthening the team further. You will be part of a small, dedicated team of three people who together drive development forward.
About the role
As a CAD Designer with us, you will work independently but in close collaboration with the development manager and the rest of the team. You will create construction and production drawings for manufacturing, primarily within steel construction and mechanical solutions.
The work includes updating and further developing previous drawings as well as minor adjustments to existing products. You will also work on the development of new products, from the idea stage to the finished solution, focusing on functionality, sustainability, and efficient production.
The position is located in Eskilstuna. During the initial period, work in Haninge, south of Stockholm, is also included, approximately one day a week, with the possibility of more presence there initially if needed.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good and documented experience working in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD systems
- Has a very good ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and welding symbols
- Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has experience in construction within mechanics or a similar field
It is a significant plus if you have previous experience from welding or mechanical workshops, or other manufacturing industries – preferably with a practical background before a white-collar role.
For us, your skills, experience, and understanding of production are more important than formal titles or degrees.
As a person, you are:
- Engaged and solution-oriented
- Structured and results-driven
- Used to taking responsibility and working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable in a role where you have significant autonomy and short decision-making paths
With us, you will work in a company with an entrepreneurial spirit, open communication, and strong faith in the future – where your ideas and expertise truly make a difference.
Are you curious to learn more about the position and about us? Do not hesitate to contact us and apply for the role.
