- Experienced Product Developer with Mechatronics Profile Wanted
Experienced Product Developer with Mechatronics Profile Wanted
Stapp ABSödermanlands län, Eskilstuna
Previous experience is desired
Do you want to take technical overall responsibility – and be involved in developing products used in real-world environments?
At STAPP, you will have a central role in a small, technology-heavy company where you are involved all the way. Here, you are not just a cog in a large machine – you influence architecture, technical choices, and how products evolve over time.
We are now looking for an experienced Product Developer with a clear mechatronics profile who wants to work broadly, practically, and long-term with robust solutions.
About the role
This is a role for you who wants to work with the entire development chain – from idea and concept, through design and programming, to testing, verification, and improvement in operation.
STAPP develops mechatronic systems where electronics, software, and mechanics work closely together. You will work with hardware-near systems, system integration, and technical improvements in products used in demanding and safety-critical environments.
You will have a clear technical responsibility in your area and are expected to independently drive development work forward – while working closely with other developers and management. The decision-making paths are short, and your expertise has a direct impact on the products.
Your main tasks:
- Develop and further develop mechatronic systems with a focus on electronics and system integration
- Work with MCU-based solutions (e.g., ESP32) and Linux-based systems
- Ensure functionality, integration, and verification between hardware and software
- Participate in technical choices, architecture, and improvement work
- Troubleshoot, test, and verify systems and subsystems
- Produce and structure technical documentation for development, testing, and management
- Contribute to strengthening robustness, reliability, and testability in existing products
We are looking for you who have clear mechatronics competence
This is not a pure software role and not a pure mechanics role. We are looking for someone who understands the whole – and who is comfortable at the interfaces between electronics, mechanics, and programming.
You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, or equivalent and practical experience in technical product development.
You have:
- Several years of experience in product development
- Strong competence in electronics and hardware-near development
- Experience in MCU-near development (e.g., ESP32)
- Experience in Python
- Experience in Linux-based systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience in prototype development, testing, and verification
- Good Swedish and English in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Experience in creating schematics and participating in electronics design
- CAD design, preferably in Fusion
- Experience from automation or industrial systems
- Experience working through the entire development chain – from requirements to verified product
Who you are
You are technically secure, analytical, and solution-oriented. You take responsibility, drive work forward, and thrive in an environment where you are expected to think independently.
You are comfortable working in early phases where everything is not fully defined. You see structure and documentation as a natural part of quality – not as administration.
Above all: you want to be involved and make an impact.
