Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of our planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As an electrical technician in Metallurgy, you will be a key player in our production. Our team in operational maintenance consists of 7 technicians and 19 electricians.
You will work with the preparation and planning of electrical work orders and improvements of facilities. You will develop proposals for a long-term maintenance plan and budget for your area. You will provide technical support for daytime electricians and also for the emergency team that works shifts.
We offer varied tasks with a strong focus on safety, environment, and quality.
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement work.
- Analyze disturbances and develop documented action proposals.
- Plan maintenance stops in consultation with the operations organization and strategically responsible technicians.
- Keep yourself updated on the status of the facilities.
- Participate in facility projects.
- Electrical operation responsibility for your area.
About you
- You have a technical education in electrical engineering (at least at the high school level) and several years of experience in the profession.
- You have an interest in technology and want to work with development and improvements.
- You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strong desire to learn new things.
- You care about the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- You are a team player with good self-awareness who spreads positive energy and leads by example.
Our offer
At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, genuine, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common goal to improve ourselves. When you start at SSAB, you become part of an organization of passionate problem solvers who work together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to the balance between work and private life.
