The Community Building Administration in Eskilstuna plays a central role in the city's development and growth. Together with other units such as Traffic, Building Permits, Project and Geodata Unit, we work cross-functionally to create comprehensive solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an urban planner, you will be responsible for both simpler and more complex detailed plans. The assignments vary from urban transformation and densification projects in sensitive locations to projects for the development of essential community services.

You will work with planning and implementation issues throughout all stages of the planning process and participate in urban development analyses, planning decisions, and strategic planning. As a project manager, you have a significant mandate to drive your planning projects forward, with the support of colleagues and in collaboration with various competencies and stakeholders. By actively working on business development, you contribute to shaping the physical environment and long-term sustainable development within the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree, preferably as a physical planner, architect, or landscape architect, or other education that we consider equivalent. You are well-versed in planning and building legislation as well as the planning process and have expertise in detailed planning work. Experience as a project manager in urban development is a significant plus. Special knowledge in GIS, architecture, and design is advantageous, as well as proficiency in programs such as Focus Detailed Plan, Adobe CS, ArcGIS, and SketchUp.

You work independently and in a structured manner but are also good at collaborating, which is required in more complex planning projects. Good service is important to you. You are attentive and communicative and can incorporate different perspectives, which is significant since your work often involves weighing interests against each other.
