Sköndal School is located in the picturesque and rapidly expanding area of Sköndal, close to Drevviken.

The school has about 480 students in grades F-6 with integrated after-school care and clubs. The staff is organized into teams where we collectively take responsibility for students' knowledge acquisition and social development based on an inclusive and salutogenic approach. We have a well-developed collaboration between preschool, after-school care/clubs, and school. With us, everyone should thrive, feel safe, and experience joy at work!

Your role

Job description

You will be part of one of our teams at the school. Together with EHT, school management, and colleagues, you will help start a studio program for our middle school students. Together with the team, you will contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for our students. Your main task will be to support children with special needs.

The educators in the team collaborate and work together throughout the school day. During school hours, you will be a present, active, and supportive educator in the classroom.

You are a qualified teacher with commitment, relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in students' development. As a teacher in our studio, you contribute to our students' success. You play an important role in the school's safety work and also have a significant role in the transitions between lessons and other situations where conflicts may arise. In your contacts with guardians, you are engaged, solution-focused, and service-oriented.

Your skills and experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher education with qualifications for grades 4-6 in Swedish and Mathematics
• Experience in working with language and knowledge development
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt your methods based on the student group
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Qualifications in additional subjects at the middle school level
• Special education training or other training in special pedagogy
• Experience supporting students with various diagnoses
• Led change initiatives at previous workplaces
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt methods and structure depending on the context you are in

To succeed as a teacher with us, it is important that you have both collaborative skills and a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. With your pedagogical insight, you can understand and adapt to different students' and groups' ways of learning, allowing you to choose methods and tools that suit their unique needs. Furthermore, you are stable, calm, and controlled in challenging or new situations, contributing to safety for both students and colleagues.
