Welcome to Us

The Enskede Årsta Vantör preschool area 1, the municipal preschools of the Northern unit consists of three preschools with unique characteristics for each preschool while the governance and leadership are clear and uniform.

The unit consists of approximately 200 children and 40 employees.

The unit's leadership consists of an assistant principal. Additionally, there is the possibility of support functions such as guidance from a special educator within the district. Our leadership organization consists of an area principal, four assistant principals, and an administrative manager. The leadership organization has the primary task of supporting, encouraging, and challenging our employees, thereby creating the best possible conditions for you to succeed in your assignment.

We work goal- and result-oriented and strive for equity in the organization. The goal is a good preschool for all children with very high quality. This means that we focus on developing our learning organization and enabling collegial learning in various forums. Competence development occurs continuously within our focus areas of language development through play, qualitative outdoor activities, and early support.

At the preschool, you will operate in a context where we see the employee as our most important resource and the work team as a key to continued high goal fulfillment. Our surroundings offer rich nature, park play areas, and several communications. We are now looking for you, a substitute preschool teacher, who wants to contribute to our development.

Your Role

Working as a preschool teacher means unique and significant opportunities to influence and contribute to children's development. As a preschool teacher, you contribute to creating a positive and developing environment, with a good balance of care and learning, that is created daily for each child and for the entire group of children. You do this by being responsible for the educational work according to the preschool's operational goals.

Our well-organized daily structure, which is based on children's participation and influence, forms the foundation of our educational work. Our pedagogical idea is based on an exploratory approach where our primary working tool is pedagogical documentation. With the help of tools such as observation, documentation, and reflection, we make children's learning processes visible and set direction for the next steps in the educational work. We also see pedagogical documentation as an obvious part of our systematic quality work and our operational development. As a preschool teacher at Kvarnen preschool, you will operate in a context where we offer various meeting places and engage children in playful and learning challenges.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Preschool teacher education and a preschool teacher license.
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
  • Computer skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience from the profession.

You have knowledge and an idea of how you and your colleagues will realize the curriculum's goals and values. Your child focus is clear and reflected in your approach in everyday life. You also have knowledge of how to make visible and further develop children's learning processes using pedagogical documentation. You have a strong drive to keep the development of the educational environment alive. In your professional role, you are engaged, professional, and proactive. You are also responsible and structured, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you are accommodating in your interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues. You handle conflicts in a sensitive and constructive manner. Furthermore, you have a good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. You enjoy leading and motivating others and sharing your experiences and knowledge.

We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.
