About the position

In the role of Senior DevOps/System Technician, you will primarily be responsible for contributing to the functionality and further development of Svenska kraftnät's development platforms and tools. You will work together with the team on both planned and operational tasks related to the operation, management, and improvement of IT environments that support system development.

The position will include:

• Managing incidents, problems, and troubleshooting in development platforms and associated environments
• Driving and implementing upgrades and system improvements of development tools and server platforms, such as Azure DevOps and GitLab
• Supporting new and existing projects and management in the introduction of DevOps-based working methods
• Configuring workspaces in server platforms and other development tools
• Installing, configuring, and deploying new environments and being responsible for lifecycle management of existing environments
• Participating in the work with DevSecOps, assisting in risk and vulnerability analyses, and monitoring the information security area

You will have the opportunity to work on the further development of DevOps-based working methods and development platforms in a complex IT environment. The role entails significant technical responsibility, where you contribute to long-term improvements, technical choices, and knowledge sharing within the team, as well as close experience exchange with colleagues with extensive industry experience.

As a Senior DevOps/System Technician, you will belong to Svenska kraftnät's competence center for support to IT system development, which consists of approximately 20 employees. The unit works closely with development teams, projects, and management and is responsible for tools, methods, and platforms for system development.

About you

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is structured, solution-oriented, and has good communication and collaboration skills. To thrive in the role, we also see that you take responsibility for your tasks and have an easy time absorbing new knowledge to apply it in practice. These qualities are important as the role involves working according to common processes and close collaboration with colleagues and development teams.

You should also adhere to the state value framework. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent.

You also have several years of work experience in:

• Working as an IT specialist or DevOps Engineer, supporting system development teams
• Working with Azure DevOps or other similar tools, such as GitLab, GitHub, Jira, and/or Atlassian products
• Installation, configuration, and administration of software in Linux and Windows environments
• Infrastructure in secure IT environments, such as networks, firewalls, or secure communication
• Agile working methods

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Worked with Infrastructure as code
• Experience with code review tools
• Work experience as a DevOps Engineer with both the implementation of DevOps-based working methods and tools for at least three years in Linux and Windows environments
• Worked with development tools for test automation.
• Worked with OpenShift and Kubernetes
