We are looking for a nurse for forensic psychiatric outpatient care

We are looking for someone who wants to work long-term with our patients transferred to forensic psychiatric care, where long treatment times and good continuity provide the opportunity to make a difference for our patients. As a nurse in forensic psychiatric outpatient care, you play an important role in the team around the patient, where you work independently with varying tasks. Perhaps you will be our new colleague?

Job Responsibilities

The work as a nurse in outpatient care involves reception visits and home visits, phone contacts and telephone advice, both to patients and to relatives and municipal staff. The staff has many contacts with other caregivers and care neighbors. The tasks also include medication, support conversations, and various assessments, both from a nursing perspective, medical perspective, and risk assessments. As a nurse, you have the opportunity to allocate parts of your working hours to a satellite clinic in Västerås. By agreement with the employer, some work can be done remotely.

About the Workplace

The forensic psychiatric care in Västmanland is located in Sala. Forensic Psychiatry Västmanland is a highly specialized operation with a total of about 160 employees. The four inpatient wards have 71 care places. After inpatient care, treatment often transitions to forensic psychiatric outpatient care with special conditions. Our patient group is spread throughout the county, with the majority in Västerås.

There is also a clinic in Västerås, Treklövermottagningen, which belongs to the forensic psychiatric outpatient clinic in Sala. Within Treklövermottagningen, there are patients with substance abuse, complex psychiatric conditions, and tendencies towards violence. As a nurse in forensic psychiatric outpatient care, you will have close cooperation with inpatient wards within forensic psychiatry and also Treklövermottagningen.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, and if you also have specialist training in psychiatry, it is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have previous experience in psychiatric care and/or forensic psychiatric care. A B driver's license is required for the position.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and have a positive attitude. You are flexible and can easily adapt to new circumstances and quickly adjust to new conditions. You are self-driven and responsible in your work. We see that you have good collaboration skills and that you are willing to share your knowledge.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. The work is performed during the day, Monday to Friday. Start date by agreement.
