Your Mission

The role of a substitute means that you should be able to work at the school or after-school care at short notice as needed. You will support where needed based on the day's and period's requirements. This means that you may work with students of different ages and alternate between supporting after-school care and acting as a teacher.

As a substitute in the school and after-school care, you are a stable and engaged substitute who follows the planning and instructions you receive from the regular staff. In the classroom, you will teach based on prepared materials, and in after-school care, you will participate in activities, games, and recess activities. You help create safety, structure, and joy, and are close to the students as support in both academic and social situations. At the end of the day, you are responsible for providing written feedback to the regular teacher.

Regardless of where you work for the day, you are an important resource who can quickly familiarize yourself with the operations, collaborate with colleagues, and meet students, colleagues, and guardians in a warm, respectful, and professional manner.

Your Experience

For this position, the following is required:

• very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• high school education

It is an advantage if you also have:

• ongoing or completed education in pedagogy, child and youth work, or other relevant education that provides experience working with children and students
• experience working in schools or as a leader in sports organizations
• experience as a substitute teacher
• experience working with students in need of special support
• good digital competence

We are looking for someone who is available, engaged, and responsible, and who enjoys working with students and has an interest in pedagogy. You have a pleasant demeanor, collaborate well with both students, colleagues, and guardians, and are loyal to your employer.

In this role, you need to be flexible and adaptable, able to answer the phone and quickly get to our operations. You are comfortable working in different schools and departments as well as with children of various ages. As a person, you are calm and stable even in stressful situations, know when to take your own initiative and when to refer further.
