Within the social services, area of Children and Youth, we work to ensure that children and young people receive the right support at the right time. Our work is characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and a strong focus on quality and legal security.

The Competence Team currently consists of two positions and serves as a support function for the area of Children and Youth aged 0–20 years. The main task is to support both management and employees with various competence-enhancing initiatives that will contribute to increased quality and legal security.

The area of Children and Youth includes the reception unit, three investigation units, the foster care unit, and family law. The position of social worker within the competence team is organized within the reception unit. Currently, the support from the Competence Team is primarily directed at the area of Children and Youth, but the operation is in a development phase.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the Competence Team, you will utilize your extensive experience to support the operation in a qualified and versatile manner. The assignments will primarily come from the area of Children and Youth and may target both the entire area and specific units depending on needs.

The assignments can vary in size, and over the past two years, the Competence Team has driven development initiatives on violence against children as well as a focus year on case management and documentation. Similar development efforts will continue to be a natural part of the work ahead.

The role also includes conducting courses within the Professional Journey and being the convener for our BBIC team.

In the long term, the tasks of the Competence Team may be reviewed with the possibility of expanding to support the entire social services and contribute to a clearer holistic perspective. The only thing we can be sure of is that our operation is constantly changing, and we are looking for someone who thrives in change and wants to contribute to the development of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an experienced colleague whom others turn to for support, advice, and guidance.

You have a desire to develop the work and stay updated on the latest research. You have good knowledge of the legislation in the area, case management, and client work. An important part is also to be a good role model for the profession of social work. Furthermore, you are a true collaborator who understands the importance of working together and makes it happen.

You are comfortable taking in others' thoughts and ideas. You know where the box is but can step outside of it and are comfortable doing so.

You have a natural ability to teach and convey knowledge in a pedagogical, clear, and secure manner.

You are service-oriented and attentive, structured, stable, and take responsibility for both planning and execution of your work.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work
• Solid experience from social services
• Extensive experience in authority operations within children and youth
• Very good knowledge of legislation, case management, and client work

Since the Competence Team consists of two social workers, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
