Manpower is seeking a laboratory technician for our client ExxonMobil in Uddevalla for a long-term consulting assignment. The assignment starts immediately and initially lasts at least one year, with good opportunities for extension.

Do you want to work as a laboratory technician in an international industrial environment where quality, safety, and precision are in focus? Here you will have the opportunity to work with advanced laboratory analyses and be part of a close-knit team responsible for quality control of both raw materials and finished products in lubricant oil production.

About the role

As a laboratory technician, you will work with chemical and physical analyses related to quality control and production support. You will be an important part of the business and work closely with both colleagues and production in a high-tech laboratory environment.

Examples of analyses and tasks:

  • Viscosity
  • Density
  • FT-IR
  • ICP
  • Pour Point
  • Sampling and documentation according to applicable procedures

The work is carried out at a varying pace depending on production needs. The role requires high precision, structure, and a sense of responsibility, while also providing the opportunity to develop your laboratory skills and learn new analytical methods. The team spirit is strong, with both collaboration and individual responsibility in focus.

Working hours and flexibility

Regular working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, within the time frame of 06:00-17:00, 8 hours per day. Evening work occurs about one week per month in connection with base oil deliveries and additional sampling. For this role, it is therefore an advantage if you live in the vicinity of Uddevalla.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a genuine interest in laboratory work, chemical analyses, and quality control
  • Is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious
  • Enjoys both independent work and teamwork in a small group
  • Is analytical, curious, and wants to develop within laboratory operations
  • Has post-secondary education in chemistry, laboratory technology, or natural sciences, or high school qualifications combined with relevant experience
  • Is flexible and enjoys a role with varying pace and tasks
  • Speaks and writes fluent Swedish

Previous experience in laboratory work, process industry, or similar analytical environments is an advantage but not a requirement.

We offer

  • A long-term consulting assignment with a global and well-known industrial corporation
  • Consultant employment through Manpower with collective agreements, insurance, and wellness benefits
  • Access to digital training and skills development
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in laboratory work and quality control

Location: Uddevalla Start: Immediately

Please submit your application with CV and cover letter via our website. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
