Project Employment within Development Hub for Location-Independent Upper Secondary School

The Office for Research, Education, and Innovation (FoUI) leads, initiates, and follows up the region's engagement in matters concerning research, education, innovation, and knowledge management. The office consists of seven units tasked with driving and participating in the region's development so that the region's goals within the office's areas of responsibility can be achieved.

At the Center for Health in Rural Areas in Storuman, you will work in an engaged team focused on research, development, and innovation related to good and close care in rural areas, the health of the Sámi people, recruitment, and education. The purpose of this is to increase knowledge about how healthcare needs can best be met for the population in rural and remote areas throughout Sweden. Here, nursing and medical students and doctoral candidates are supervised, and the unit conducts many different national and international research and innovation projects.

You will come to a creative workplace with a high ceiling where remote technology is part of everyday life! Much of the work can be performed remotely, but travel is included in the role.

The position is a part-time project employment within the framework of the project “Development Hub for Location-Independent Upper Secondary School.” Partners in the project are the Southern Lapland Upper Secondary School Association, Umeå University, the Center for Health in Rural Areas, and the Media Center at Region Västerbotten.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The project has three main focus areas: Organizational Development and Location-Independent Learning, Teaching Methods and Digital Technology, and Access to Academic and Vocational Programs. Within the framework of the latter, there is the assignment that this position is about, namely an evaluation of the research profile at Luspengymnasiet in Storuman.

You will work with planning, meetings, consultations, interviews, evaluations, documentation, and reporting in the form of reports and presentations. One ambition is that the results of the evaluation can be presented scientifically. You will also propose how the research profile can be adapted to Gy25.

Although most of the work can be performed digitally, travel may be involved locally, regionally, and possibly nationally.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in educational activities. You have good analytical skills and broad experience with various collaboration structures. You have solid experience in evaluation and a scientific approach to work. It is an advantage if you have previously published in scientific journals.

You are well acquainted with digital working methods. Furthermore, you should have good knowledge of the Swedish education system and the specific conditions that apply in rural and remote areas. Experience in school development is also an advantage. International collaboration and exchange occur, so you should have good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form.

Experience in project management within healthcare and collaboration with municipalities and other organizations in society is also an advantage.
