Here, dedicated staff work together with the children to create good conditions for learning and development. Students from preschool to grade 6 attend this school. The school is located about 20 kilometers south of Umeå.

We are now looking for an important teaching assistant for our school!

Your Responsibilities

You will provide support to individual students who need resources throughout the school day and during after-school activities. As a teaching assistant, you work to give students good conditions to participate in shared learning, in various teaching situations, in peer relationships, as well as in everyday activities and community life.

The position involves close collaboration with mentors, educators, and other staff at the school.

About You

You are a secure adult and a good role model, with the ability to connect with students. You see each individual and create a safe environment in the school while collaborating with others to achieve set goals.

As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support as you are a very important part of their school day. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and find it easy to communicate and cooperate with students and other important professional groups related to the target group. You have a good ability to collaborate and maintain a professional demeanor towards children, relatives, and other stakeholders around the students. You are engaged and have a desire to share our values and work towards set goals as well as to work on continuous improvements. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Qualified childcare worker or similar educational training
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience working in schools/after-school programs
• Experience working with children with special needs

The position is a temporary full-time position (100%), with a planned start as soon as possible or by agreement, until April 30, 2026.
