YOUR ROLE

As a preschool teacher in Skellefteå municipality, you will help shape the very first part of children's educational journey. You are responsible for creating a safe, inspiring, and developing environment where play and learning go hand in hand.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching together with your colleagues. You are also the one who captures the moments when learning happens spontaneously. Sometimes you lead the way forward, and sometimes you step aside and let the children take their own steps. With your engagement and creativity, you help each individual grow, and you make a difference in every encounter.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with children and contribute to their development every day. You are a qualified preschool teacher with a license, but even if you are waiting for your license, you are welcome to apply if you can show a receipt from the Swedish National Agency for Education. Since you will be working closely with children, you need to submit a current extract from the criminal record.

We believe that you thrive in an environment where play and learning go hand in hand. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and guardians, and the children see you as a safe and responsive adult who observes, listens, and encourages. Your presence and engagement make a difference in both small and large moments.

Since the job involves documentation and communication with digital tools, it is important that you have basic IT skills. It is also a requirement that you have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and can adapt your language to different situations and target groups. In some areas, a B driver's license is also required.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in preschool, especially with planning and teaching based on the curriculum. If you can speak Finnish or Sámi, we see it as an asset, and sign language is also valuable in our operations.
