The education personnel pool consists of full-time and short-term substitute employees available for all preschools and primary schools within Umeå municipality.

Employment Information

Several positions for fixed-term employment/substitute, full-time.

The position is filled due to a temporary increase in workload during two defined periods:
2026-03-09 – 2026-03-31 and 2026-04-13 – 2026-05-31.

Your Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you will work to support children's development and learning. You will work fixed hours for preschool from 07:15 to 16:15 or for after-school care from 08:00 to 16:30, the assignment is full-time. You will follow the preschool's or school's curriculum. It is always the regular staff who have the pedagogical responsibility in the operation and who are responsible for maintaining a good structure.

In short - a varied and stimulating job where you meet many different children and adults and become part of the staff group for the day!

Requirements:

• Preschool assistant education or other educational training that can be assessed as equivalent
• Experience working with children and young people
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Driver's license B and access to your own car

Meritorious:

• Training in TAKK
