Särö Parish - A versatile and active parish consisting of Vallda, Kullavik, and Släp congregations by the sea in Kungsbacka municipality, just under half an hour from Gothenburg. The church and our wonderful community play a significant role in people's lives, which is why many wish to have their final resting place here.

The funeral operations in Särö parish are an administration within the Church of Sweden. We are responsible for two cemeteries and approximately 6000 burial plots, two chapels, and a deserted cemetery. The operations have a turnover of about ten million kronor and are governed by elected representatives in Särö parish. The administration is practically managed by the caretaking staff and its supervisor, and administratively by the burial administrator.

As a burial administrator, you are responsible for handling and managing burial rights matters, booking burial plots for interments, etc. You handle cases via phone, email, and visits.

You administer burial care agreements in the service operations and participate in developing guidelines and strategies for future burial practices and the establishment of cemetery land.

You are part of our expedition team and also continuously work at the reception, answering phones, handling bookings, mail, and visits, as well as administering and serving as secretary at meetings in the parish's decision-making bodies.

We are looking for

Someone who is an experienced, structured, and driven administrator who loves good order and excellent service. You have a pleasant demeanor, are service-oriented both externally and internally, and have a positive attitude.

We want you to be able to work independently but also have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues. You are, or have the ability to become, knowledgeable in administrative and burial laws that you apply in the cases you handle. You learn easily and can familiarize yourself with new tasks, routines, and issues.

Requirements

Membership in the Church of Sweden.

You are an experienced administrator with good habits of working in various systems and can easily learn new ones.

You understand and can express the Swedish language in both speech and writing and are a good communicator. It is a plus if you have experience from the Church of Sweden and our systems, as well as relevant education/experience for the position, but we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driving license (B) is required; having access to a car is also beneficial.

You naturally share the Church of Sweden's values of an open and inclusive attitude towards people's differences, regardless of faith, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

Employment Conditions

Full-time position during the day with work a few evenings and some weekends per year.
